ROLE OVERVIEW

Ensures the effective Service of Court processes to the Parties and other stake holders.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Coordinates the activities of Services of Court Processes under the direct supervision of the HOD, Court Registrar Judicial Process and Case Management and Deputy Registrar.
  • Responsible for the service of Court Processes, hearing notice and correspondence to Parties.
  • Prepare proof of service and affidavit of service.
  • Track status of courier service of court processes, on parties.
  • Maintains records of contact details of lawyers/litigants, Member States and Stakeholders before the Court.
  • Assist in case load management in the Registry and prepare summaries of new application lodged.
  • Prepares for hearings in accordance with the Rules, protocol, practice direction and instructions to the Chief Registrar.
  • Attend Court sessions and assist the Chief Registrar in maintaining and providing proof of service when required. 
  • Performs any other related tasks as may be assigned by the Deputy Chief Registrar, the Court Registrar and Deputy Registrar

  ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION:

  • A minimum of Bachelor Degree in Law.    
  • Possession of higher Degree in Law (Master degree in Law) would be an advantage

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three (3) years relevant professional experience in court registry services
  • Possession in Court process or Court Registry functioning experience
  • Experience in variety of private and public institutions….
  • Three (3) years relevant professional experience, including two (2) years relevant international experience in court of law functioning or in documents service by ordinary mail with international courier companies, by e-mail.
  • Experience in a variety of private and public institutions preferably in a multi-cultural setting and in an international institution would be an advantage

AGE LIMIT: Be below 50 years old. This provision does not apply to internal candidates
